BROADCAST PATHWAY
On the Mic Program
Students learn the art of live broadcasting by casting matches, analyzing gameplay, interviewing competitors, telling compelling stories, and communicating confidently on live productions. Along the way, they build the communication, teamwork, and media production skills that prepare them for careers in broadcasting, journalism, sports media, and digital content creation.
Production PATHWAY
Behind the Boards Program
Students step behind the scenes to produce professional live broadcasts, operating cameras, managing audio, directing productions, controlling graphics, switching live feeds, and supporting event operations. Along the way, they develop the technical, collaborative, and problem solving skills that prepare them for careers in live event production, broadcasting, film, television, esports, and digital media.

The Plainfield Invitational
The Power of Bringing a GSE Event to Your School
Each year, Plainfield High School partners with Garden State Esports to host a statewide invitational where students spend three days planning, producing, and executing the event alongside GSE staff. Students take ownership of event operations, including production, technology, tournament administration, hospitality, communications, logistics, and customer service. Working in authentic roles with real responsibilities and real accountability, they experience the pace, collaboration, and problem-solving of a professional live event.
