MORE THAN A LEAGUE
A Movement for Representation in Gaming
Valkyrie was created to expand opportunity for students who have historically been underrepresented in gaming and esports. In a space that has too often felt exclusionary, Valkyrie builds something different: a community rooted in belonging, competition, mentorship, and leadership.
Valkyrie gives students a place to compete with confidence, discover new roles, build friendships, and see themselves as part of the future of gaming. This is not an afterthought. It is a statement that every student deserves a seat at the table.
But you don't have to take our word for it. Hear from the players:
WHY VALKYRIE
Gaming Should Feel Like a Place You Belong
Too often, girls and gender diverse gamers are made to feel like guests in gaming spaces: tolerated, not celebrated. Valkyrie changes that by building a welcoming, school-supported environment where students can participate, improve, and lead.
Whether a student is brand new to esports or already competing at a high level, Valkyrie gives them a team, a community, and a pathway forward. No experience required. No apologies needed. Just a space where you already belong.
THREE PILLARS
Compete. Create. Lead.
Valkyrie is built on three core pillars that reflect the full range of opportunity in esports—not just what happens on screen, but everything it takes to make esports possible.
Compete
Students represent their schools in statewide competitions designed to be welcoming, exciting, and accessible. Valkyrie creates a space where players can build skill, confidence, and competitive experience.
Create
Valkyrie opens doors to shoutcasting, broadcasting, production, content creation, event support, and tournament operations. There are more ways to be part of esports than most students ever see.
Lead
Students develop leadership skills as captains, mentors, organizers, creators, and role models for the next generation of girls in gaming. Leadership built through esports carries into every part of their lives.
NOT JUST PLAYERS
Esports Needs More Than Great Players
Some students want to compete. Others want to commentate, produce broadcasts, run events, create content, design graphics, manage teams, or tell stories. Valkyrie helps students see all the ways they can belong in esports, not only on the controller, but behind the camera, on the mic, and in leadership.

Students Don’t Just Leave With Belts.
They Leave With Teammates.
Valkyrie creates an entry point for students who might never have joined an esports team. As they develop confidence, many continue their journey by competing on their school's co-ed varsity teams, mentoring younger players, and taking on leadership roles within their programs.
The goal has never been to create a separate destination. The goal is to ensure every student has the confidence to pursue every opportunity esports has to offer.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
“I never thought esports was for me. Valkyrie showed me it was. I earned a spot on the team, then the varsity team, and now Rowan’s team.”
Emily Sellers

Emily’s path is proof that the pipeline works. When students have access to a supportive, competitive environment, they discover what they’re capable of in-game and beyond it.
