The Garden State Esports Coaching Workshop, developed in partnership with Rutgers University, is a professional development experience designed to equip educators with the skills, strategies, and certifications needed to lead successful scholastic esports programs. This hands-on training covers program management, best coaching practices, student engagement, and pathways to high-skill, high-wage careers—giving teachers the tools to turn passion into purpose in and out of the classroom.
Who Can Participate?
The Coaching Workshop is open to all educators, administrators, and school staff interested in coaching and growing a varsity scholastic esports program. Whether you’re a classroom teacher, current club advisor, tech coordinator, or district leader, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are—no gaming experience required. Participants will gain practical knowledge, coaching tools, and a recognized credential to bring esports into their schools with confidence and purpose.
